VA Online Application for Health Benefits: Veterans will find it easier and faster to apply for their health care benefits now that the Department of Veterans Affairs has updated its online Form 10-10EZ, "Application for Health Benefits."  Veterans may complete or download the 10-10EZ form at the VA health eligibility web site at https://www.1010ez.med.va.gov/sec/vha/1010ez Veterans may also contact VA at 1-(877) 222-8387 (VETS) or visit the VA health eligibility web site www.va.gov/healtheligibility
Received this news recently: SPC Charles Hood, a member of our Post, has returned to the US.  He is again stationed at Fort Drum, NY.  I do not have a complete address for him yet.  He got back on Thursday the 3rd of March.  It is so great to have him back in the good old USA.

UNCLAIMED INSURANCE: The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) has over $33 million in unclaimed money dating back to WWI.  The monies include unclaimed life-insurance policy payments, dividend checks and refunds.  To find out if the VA owes you money, visit the VA’s Unclaimed Insurance Website.  You will need as much of the following information as you can provide:  the veteran’s first name, middle name, last name and date of birth.  You can also call their toll free phone number 1-800-669-8477.

The unclaimed funds search does not include SGLI and VGLI life insurance policies for those in service from 1965 to present.  Please do not use this search feature if you are a SGLI or VGLI policy holder.
